Lauren Moffatt

Lauren Moffatt clothing was launched in October of 2002 by Abington native Lauren Moffatt and her boyfriend and partner Rob Pepin. For the first two years Moffatt and Pepin sewed all of the hundreds of pieces themselves out of their 31-foot sailboat home docked in NYC’s Hudson River. The couple admitted that sewing was never their strength and a rocking boat didn't make sewing straight lines any easier.

Ms. Moffatt loves drawing with colored pencils and gets a lot of design inspirations from the pictures she creates. Other inspirations come from fabric, colors and textures. The first small collections became an overnight success and quickly grew the company to multi-million dollar sales. A few of the celebrities you might see wearing Lauren Moffatt include: Cameron Diaz, Mandy Moore, Eva Mendes, Ashley Olsen, Sophia Bush and Michelle Williams.
